The Diamonds Of Golconda

The lost mine of Golconda is located in India, and is called ‘lost’ since it’s been at least 250 years since the last diamonds were mined there. Historians believe that the mine has dried out, and that we will not see any diamonds coming from there any longer. What a shame, since for 5,000 years, the largest diamonds in the world came from the Golconda mine.

The locals believe that anyone who tried to look for diamonds in the mine, will be cursed with misfortune. That’s not to say that people haven’t tried searching for these lost treasures.

You may not have one of the three most expensive diamonds in the world, but you can go ahead and shop pink diamond rings and wear an exclusive one of a kind piece of jewellery.
